2nd Annual Flip Merwin Memorial Race at SPS
State Park Speedway
May 18, 2004

In January of 2003, we lost a true friend in our racing community. Flip Merwin, lost his life while competing in the World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River. To honor Flip because of all of his involvement in racing, State Park Speedway is hosting a memorial race. This race is scheduled for Thursday, May 20, 2004. All of our divisions will be competing which includes the Central Wisconsin Late Models, (CWSSA) Central Wisconsin Street Stock Association, Cenex Mini Stocks and the Wisconsin Mini Cup Series, in addition to the Super Late Models. 

Pit Gate will open at 3:00 p.m., Practice will be at 4:00 p.m. Spectator Gates are scheduled to open to the Public at 5:30 p.m., Time Trials at 6:00 p.m. and Racing to begin at 7:15 p.m. 

Even with this great show, there will be no increase in admission and $1.00 from each admission ticket will go the Flip Merwin Fund.
