A tribute to Short Track Racing Legend, it’s the 23rd Annual Larry Detjens Memorial Race on Thursday, June 26, 2003. Wisconsin Challenge Series Event #5 of 10 featuring 22 of Wisconsin’s Best Super Late Model Drivers Competing in a 100 Lap Feature Race, plus Twin 30-Lap Qualifying Races. Also, the Cenex Mini-Stocks and Street Stocks will be joining us. Practice: 4 p.m. Spectator Gates to Open: 5:30 p.m. Qualifying: 6:00 p.m. with racing to begin at 7:15 p.m. Meet the past competitors & winners of the Larry Detjens Memorial Race in an Autograph Session.
The 2nd Annual Pepsi Wisconsin State Mid Season Championship is a joint event planned between State Park Speedway (Wausau) & Pepsi Raceway Park (Tomahawk). This race is scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2003 at State Park Speedway & July 5, 2003 at Pepsi Raceway Park. All of our divisions will be competing at Wausau, which includes the Central Wisconsin Late Models, (CWSSA) Central Wisconsin Street Stock Association, Cenex Mini Stocks and the Wisconsin Mini Cup Series. Tomahawk, will have their normal classes of Central Wisconsin Late Models, Bombers, Pro Bandits & Street Stock Bandits.
Schedule of Events: Thursday Night: Gates open 4:00 p.m., Track Open 4:00 p.m., Time Trials 6:15 p.m., Racing at 7:15 p.m. Full racing program with 50 Lap Late Model Feature. Saturday Night: Gates open 3:00 p.m., Track Open 3:30 p.m., Time Trials 5:30 p.m., Racing at 7:00 p.m. Full Race Program with 50 Lap Late Model Feature to Conclude Evening Show.
