Louze's Big Brown Truck Moooves Into Victory Lane!!

State Park Speedway kicks off June, as we celebrate June Dairy Month. Thank You
to Graykowski Distributing for donating milk, & State Park Speedway donating cookies this evening for the race fans, drivers & pit crews. We welcome the newly elected Miss Marathon County Farm Bureau - Carissa Newlun of Edgar, and Marathon County Ag Ambassador - Erin Day of Elderon. Congratulations to both and we wish you lots of success in your future endeavors.
Two rookies started out in the front row of this evening's Central Wisconsin Late Model Feature, Edgar's #48 Tristan Huebsch & Schofield's #17 Mike Merriam. Huebsch led for
six laps, but Abbotsford's #21 Robbie Bunkelman passed him for the lead. Bunkelman's
utterly exciting lead would fall short when Wausau's #H20 Travis Weisenbeck who was
moving up in the pack cut a right rear tire causing a caution. Wausau's #44 Justin
Woller baled out of this race with a broken front end. As the green flag waved, Wausau's
#66 Brent Zastrow would take over the lead and held off the fast veterans of Wausau's
#14 Wayne Breitenfeldt & #32 Lyle Nowak for the Cream of the Crop Win. Second went
to Breitenfeldt and third went to Nowak.
Holy Cow! the Cenex Mini Stock Feature started with fifteen cars & one pick up.
Wausau's #57 Shawn Teske was the leader most of this race, but with six laps to go,
Dale Louze would take the lead. While Louze was up front, Hatley's #29 Chad Dietsche
collided with Wausau's #47 Jeff " Slim" Spatz right before the start/finish line. Dietsche's right side of the car was damaged, resulting with Spatz's car hitting the wall ending his evening and having a totally destroyed race car. The final four laps belonged to Louze as he picked up his first feature win this season at State Park Speedway. Second went to Wausau's #28 Brian Schmidt and third went to Marathon's #22 Greg Blount.
Milking wasn't on Clintonville's #08 Mike Kasperek or Wausau's #01 David Lashua's minds as they started out in tonight's Street Stock Feature. Kasperek had a quarter lead
on the rest of his competitors, but a caution would come out when Wausau's #79 Adam
Jennejohn spun out on the front stretch. As a result, this would tighten up the field with
Nawrocki behind Kasperek and with thirteen laps to go, Nawrocki would take over the
lead and would go onto win another feature. Second would go to Merrill's #06 Andy
Bartelt and third went to Kasperek.
Mini Cups were mooving tonight as Baraboo's Randy Braun came back for the first time this evening in the #5 car. Six cars would qualify in this division, but unfortunately, Schofield's #70 Kyle Kluetz was hurting from a prior injury outside of racing and was
not able to compete. Phillips #31 Trevor Raskie had another "clean sweep" night as
in this division, the fast cars start up front. Congratulations to our rookie, #16 Nick
Krueger who came in second (his best finish this year) and third went to Mosinee's
#8 Chris Hoen.
