Kyle Busch Joins Matt Kenseth At The Slinger Nationals

(Slinger, WI) March 28 – Fresh off his first Nextel Cup win of the season
Kyle Busch has committed to racing in the 28th Annual Miller Lite Slinger
Nationals Tuesday July 17th. Kyle called yesterday confirming details of
his venture to the Worlds Fastest Quarter Mile Asphalt Oval stating he plans
on winning! Kyle will be piloting his own Late Model prepared at Kyle
Busch Motorsports by Wisconsin Native Richie Waters. Richie knows
Slinger very well and will prepare a potent machine for the hard charging
Busch.
Kyle joins defending and three time Slinger Nationals Champion Matt Kenseth as
the list of impressive drivers starts to build for this year’s event.
Kenseth won the 2006 title after battling an ignition problem early in the
race and a very fast David Prunty late in the race. Prunty dominated the
event until late in the race when Kenseth caught him and the two raced side by
side in one of the most thrilling Slinger Nationals races since Lowell Bennett
beat Brad Mueller by a fender at the 2000 event.
Busch and Kenseth are two of the hottest NASCAR drivers right now. Each
has a Cup and Busch win and have been up front every race this season.
Kenseth sits 4th in the Cup point standings while Busch is 6th.
