Wet Weather Cancels Shawano Speedway Racing Program

Shawano, WI (May 14, 2005) - For the third time in this short racing season, the Shawano Speedway was forced to cancel its racing program due to weather conditions. This time it was wet and cold weather forcing the cancellation. 

After two weeks of racing, A.J. Diemel currently sits atop the WISSOTA Late Model standings, four points ahead of M.J. McBride and Troy Springborn. Randy Markwardt and Gordie Seegert round out the top five.

In the IMCA Modified division, Lance Arneson holds a six point lead over Jeremie Hedrick. Wade Schutt, Tom Schaal and Eric Scribner round out the top five in the standings. The IMCA Stock Car division is led by Jason Czarapata, who holds a two point lead over Larry Karcz Jr. Dan Michonski, Brian Bruechert and Kyle Frederick round out the top five.

Jeff Curtin holds an eight point lead over Jesse Peebles. Rounding out the top five are Luke Uttecht, Chad Hohn and Bob Schmidt. 

The Shawano Speedway will continue its racing season next Saturday. Racing actions starts at 6:30 p.m.
