Rain Forces Cancellation Of Feature Races At Shawano Speedway
By Bert Lehman

Shawano, WI (June 5, 2004) - For the third week in a row, Mother Nature put a damper on the racing program at the Shawano Speedway, when rain began to fall as the Limited Late Model feature was pulling onto the track. The rain eventually stopped, and the track was being repacked, and was close to race ready, when the rain began to fall again, forcing officials to cancel the rest of the program.

Racing action will continue next Saturday night, and continue each weekend through Labor Day weekend. WISSOTA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, and Limited Late Models race weekly at the Shawano Speedway, with the racing action starting at 6:30 p.m. each Saturday night. Street Eliminator races will also be run this coming Saturday night.
