The Shawano Area Ag Society announced that they have removed Leo Dillenburg from the manager position at the
Shawano County Fairgrounds. Management will be in the hands of the Board of
Directors. The Shawano Speedway will be under the direction of a Race Committee
with Board President Dale Hodkiewicz as chairman.
The plan is to produce
a race season of good entertaining racing for both fans and drivers. There will
be a new flagman in the flagstand. The car shows and race dates, other than
specials, that are posted in the schedule will be kept the same. There will be
no WISSOTA Challenge race this year. Any further possible changes in personnel,
operating procedures, specials, etc., at the track are being discussed and will
be announced later.
