Seymour Opener Set

Seymour, May 23- N.E.W. DIRT is planning to open their 2005 season at the New
Seymour Speedway, this Sunday night, May 29.
Despite the weather, crews have been able to complete a great deal of work
needed to open this week.
New power lines will be run on Tuesday. Work continues to complete the wall
through turns three and four. The fencing through turns one and two is almost
completed.
The track is continuously being groomed to ensure the new surface is in great
shape for the opener.
Five divisions are looking forward to attacking the new track. The WISSOTA
Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders
will all be part of the weekly racing programs.
Opening night racing will start earlier than normal, with the first green flag
showing at 5 PM.
The earlier time will mean that drivers MUST be signed into the pit BY 4 PM to
make the draw. All events will be draw/redraw for the opener.
Weather could play into this plan over the big Memorial Day weekend.
