Kroll Picks Up Bounty On Eytcheson
By Greg Aregoni

Saturday Night August 19th- “Chargin” Charlie Kroll picked up the bounty on Von Eytcheson in the D.C. Custom Drilling and Blasting Street Stocks Saturday Night. His winnings were $850.00.

Kevin Sternard won his first career Tri-County Heating IMCA Modified Feature last Wednesday Night August 9th. He picked up his second in a row Saturday in convincing fashion over Sean Jerovetz.

B.J. Soquet picked up his second feature win of the season in the Budweiser IMCA Stockcar Feature passing Bernie Reinhardt with two laps to go.

Chad Kaminski won his first career Olson Fabrication IMCA Hobby Stock Feature. He lead the last 10 laps to pick up the win.

Adam White jumped out to a nice lead on the first lap of the IMCA Hobby Stock Feature. Chad Kaminski quickly made his way to second and caught White. With White running the low-line, Kaminski went to the top and made the pass for the lead. Kaminski would continued to lead all the way to the checkers to pick up his first career win. The battle was on for second with Keith Kickbusch and Roger Laviolette splitting Adam White for second on a three-wide pass. Kickbusch would win the battle for second and take the point lead with one night left. Laviolette was third followed by White and Frank Paul.

Aaron Thornton lent the car to Charlie Kroll with one thing in mind… winning the bounty on Von Eytcheson. Charlie Kroll set the pace in the early laps of the D.C. Custom Drilling and Blasting Street Stock Feature. The field was kept close by the caution filled race. Von Eytcheson and Ryan Brandes were able to make their way through the field to second and third. Eytcheson caught Kroll with the help of a yellow flag and made his move on the inside. Kroll took his car to the outside. Eytcheson was able to get around Kroll for one lap but never anymore. Kroll got much better momentum using the top-side of the track. A green, white, checker set up the finish of the race. Kroll was able to pull away and pick up the win. He won $850.00 for his efforts. Eytcheson extended his point lead going into the final night of the season with his second place finish. Ryan Brandes was third, followed by Fred Davister, and Scott Reinhardt.

Rookie Willy DeGrave put on a career showing early on with veteran John Heinz in the Budweiser IMCA Stockcar Feature. The duo swapped the lead many times with Heinz finally taking control on lap 4. Bernie Reinhardt quickly shot to the outside and started working on Heinz from the outside. Reinhardt grabbed the lead on lap 10 but with B.J. Soquet and Willie DeGrave right behind. Reinhardt would continued to lead until Soquet shot to the inside of Reinhardt with two laps to go and made the pass in the middle groove. Soquet went on to win his second feature of the season followed by Reinhardt, DeGrave, Matt Junio, and Pat Davister.

Billy Lemieux led the opening lap of the Tri-County Heating IMCA Modified Feature. Last week’s winner Kevin Sternard made his way to the inside of Lemieux on the second lap and grabbed the lead. A couple of caution would keep the field close. On the restart, Sternard pulled away from Jerovetz again. Point leader Jared Siefert, made his way to third and battled Jerovetz all the way to the checkers. Up front, Sternard walked away to pick up his second win in a row. Jerovetz was second followed by Siefert, Todd Dart, and Benji LaCrosse.

Kip Burlo led every lap in picking up his first feature win in the 4 cylinder division. He kept Tony Everard and Kenny Malcore at bay for all 12 laps.

Brian Belleau grabbed the lead the Mike Jost on lap 2 and went on to win his fourth feature of the season in the Bomber class.
