Dart, Kroll, Anschutz, Reinhardt Win At The Hill
By Greg Aregoni

Saturday Night May 27th, Todd Dart passed Dave Werbelow on lap 10 to go on and win the 20-lap Tri-County Heating IMCA Modified Feature.

Ben Kroll led every lap to capture his first win of the season in the Budweiser IMCA Stockcar feature.

Ed Anshutz fought off a late surge by Dave DeGrave and Tom Brumlic to win the Olson Fabrication IMCA Hobby Stock feature.

Scott Reinhardt passed John Sternard on a lap 8 restart to pick up his first win of the season in the D.C. Custom Drilling and Blasting Street Stocks.

Rookie Todd Everard led the opening lap of the Street Stock feature before John Sternard grabbed the lead on an inside pass for the lead.  Everard settled in at second but not without a challenge from Scott Reinhardt.  A caution on lap 8 bunched up the field.  On the restart Reinhardt jumped pass Sternard to take the lead.  Reinhardt ran away from the field to win his first feature of the season.  A last lap spin by Everard gave Sternard second followed by Dennis Wiedner, Tim Czarneski, and Jeremy Wiitala.

Ben Kroll left the excitement not for the top spot but for the second in the IMCA Stock car feature.  Ben Kroll Jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.  A caution on lap one was the only one of the race.  Pat Davister was able to make a move pass Tony Bouche for second midway through the race but was never able to cut into the lead.  Kroll won his first feature at Thunderhill with Davister second.  Followed by Troy Muench, Craig Paque, and Cory Cochart.

Art Siefert led the opening lap the IMCA Modified event but broke in turn 2 on lap two.  Dave Werbelow inherited the lead on the restart and looked like the man to beat until a caution on lap 11.  Todd Dart used his outside starting spot on the restart to rocket passed Werbelow.  Jared Siefert quickly followed suit.  After the final caution setup a green, white, checker finish; Dart was able to hold off Jay Matthias and Siefert for the win.  Matthias passed Siefert at the line.  Siefert finished third followed by Jeremy Jacobs, and Billy Lemieux.

Jeff Lautenbach led the opening six laps of the IMCA Hobby Stock feature until Ed Anschutz was able to make the pass on the high side.  Anschutz would continue to lead until a late caution grouped up the field.  On the restart, DeGrave jumped into second and Brumlic third.  They both made a brief run at Anschutz’s lead put couldn’t make the pass.  Anschutz won the feature followed by DeGrave, Keith Kickbusch, Brumlic, and Lautenbach.

Joe Kraul won the 10 lap Bomber feature.  Kip Burlo won the 4 cylinder feature.
