Project First Rate Helps Build Union Night At Rockford Speedway

Rockford, IL- Building on their existing relationship, Project First Rate and Rockford Speedway jointly announced the upcoming Project First Rate Union Night which will be held this Saturday night, April 28 at Rockford Speedway. On this night, all union members will be admitted to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program for only $5 each, by showing their Labor Union Card at the Box Office.

“The idea came to be last year when we hosted their Fourth of July Committee Carnival at the Speedway,” stated Speedway Director of Operations Ray Padron. “All of us wanted to work together to create an exciting night for all of Project First Rate’s members, I think we have accomplished that.”

The April 28 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event will feature the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Budweiser American Short Trackers, Coca-Cola RoadRunners, Legends, Bandoleros and the 2nd Over the Line Wins Novelty Race. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series has helped launch the careers of many current Nextel Cup Stars including Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Bobby LaBonte, Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer and Denny Hamlin.

Spectator gates will open at 5 with time trials at 6:10, the first big race of the evening begins at 7:07PM Saturday night April 28. Standard General Admission rates are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-11 with children ages 5 and under admitted free. The Project First Rate Union Night is being held in conjunction with Fox 39/Budweiser Junior Nation Night, in which any fan wearing Dale Earnhardt, Jr clothing will be admitted for $8.
