Rockford Speedway Unveils Its 60th Anniversary Logo

Friday, March 23, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Rockford Speedway has released its official logo to help celebrate the 60th season of entertaining race fans.  The 60th Anniversary season will commence with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Smash-O-Rama on Saturday, April 7th.

The logo features the current Rockford Speedway logo along with the years “1948-2007.”  The Speedway was built in 1948 by E.B. Davis and featured open wheel racing.  The legendary Tony Bettenhausen was the first ever champion.

Tickets are on sale now for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Smash-O-Rama at the Speedway’s box office. 

Tickets are also on sale for the 30th Annual Spring Classic on April 14-15th.  The Wisconsin Challenge Series, Big 8 Series, Mid-American Series and the first ever Hornet vs. Bandit Challenge will all be in action that weekend.

The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly racing action will start on Saturday, April 21st.
