The Bahama Brackets is one of the more unique racing events in the Midwest.  The event is open to Mid-American, Mid-American Trucks, Midwest Trucks, Sportsmen, Charger, Grand National, Pro Stock, Thundercar, Super Stock, Street Stock, Pony Stock, Limited, any mode of Short Tracker, Whales, Hobby Stocks, Enduro, Hornet, Pro-Am, Bronco, Bomber, Thunder Stock, Slammer, Warrior, Pure Stock and Modifieds.  Don’t see your car on the list, call and ask it may be eligible to run.

All cars will qualify and be placed in a bracket based on their qualifying time.  No car can qualify faster than 14.300 seconds.  If a car qualifies exactly at 14.300 seconds, they will receive a $100 bonus.  During the racing event, they cannot exceed their time by more than :00.200 seconds.  If they do, the driver has broken out from their time and disqualified from that race.

After qualifying, the racing action will start at 6:00 p.m. with Bermuda Bashes that will help set up the field for the Bracket Features on Sunday.  At the end of the evening, everyone will get together for the Last Blast Race Party featuring the Ugliest Legs Contest beginning at 9:00 p.m.

The racing action will get underway at Noon on Sunday, October 14th with Last Chance Races, Foo Foo Races, 50 lap features, and Hornet Monza Swarm.

This weekend is not just about racing, it’s all about having fun.  Teams will start arriving on Friday to decorate their pits and meet old and new friends.  “I always look forward to this event,” Rockford Speedway Chief Scorer Terri Gehrke noted.  “It’s an opportunity to see my friends from all around the Midwest.”
