By: Kevin Ramsell

Sunday, September 24, 2006 (Loves Park, IL) – Lincoln Keeser captured the rain delayed O’Reilly Auto Parts 41-lap feature for the the Hobby Stox division.

Keeser started ninth on the field and worked the inside line to the front.

Tom Flippo was the early leader in the feature event that was ran on Sunday morning at the 41st Annual Chicago International Trucks National Short Track Championships.

Keeser got on the inside of Flippo on lap 6 and took over the top spot.

Keeser’s held off two challenges for the win.  The first came from Chet Paffel who stayed on Keeser’s bumper in the first half of the race.  Paffel’s chances for the win fell on side when Dan Carlson spun in turns one and two.  Keeser was able to get past Carlson but Paffel was collected in the wreck.

Keeser then had to hold off Johnny Robinson.  But with 6-laps to go, Robinson blew his motor and was out of the race.

Keeser cruised to his first NSTC championship win.  Jim Tate Jr. would come home second with Jason Brewster finishing third.  Flippo would finish fourth with Alex Papini rounding out the top five.
