Bobby Rahal Wins Vintage Race at Road America
Picture-Perfect Weekend at Historic Track Concludes
Elkhart Lake, Wisc., July 18, 2004—Road America wrapped up three days of
vintage racing in perfect conditions with sold-out touring, a sold-out
concours d'elegance on Friday and Saturday evening and more than 460 vintage
race cars on track competing in nine classes. CART Champion Bobby Rahal won
the Group 5 race for FIA, World Manufacturers Championship Cars and Formula
"70" in a 1970 Lola T-290, ahead of fourth-place finisher Brian
Redman, who served as grand marshal. The Historic Grand Prix group fielded 24
Formula One cars in the feature race Sunday. Group and Class winners, as well
as Wisconsin and Illinois drivers follow.
