Elkhart Lake, Wisc., July 13, 2004 – Road America will host the Tour de Road America, a Peloton Project fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) on August 7 during the Elkhart Lake Champ Car World Series race weekend. Bicyclists and world class drivers will ride the historic four-mile race track starting at 7 p.m. Saturday evening. Cyclists may buy a ticket to Saturday race activities and the bicycle tour for $50, of which $25 will be donated to the noted bicyclist's cancer survivorship foundation. The purpose of LAF is to enhance the quality of life for those living with, through and beyond cancer. Spectator tickets are $115 for the four-day event or $40 for Saturday and $55 for Sunday. Tickets are available at www.roadamerica.com or by calling 1.800.365.7223.

The Tour de Road America will have a booth in the paddock area to collect donations for the Lance Armstrong Foundation with a goal of reaching $25,000 during the four-day event. In addition, the LAF booth will host two Champ Car drivers who will sign autographs. The purpose in joining with the Grand Prix of Road America is to raise cancer awareness by partnering with the Champ Car drivers and race fans. Drivers from other series may participate in the autograph sessions and on the bicycle ride Saturday evening.
