Great Crowd On A Perfect Night
July 19, 2005
by Dave Buss

A great crowd would take advantage of probably the best weather night of the year at the Powercom Speed Zone. Brandon Czarapata, Terry Van Roy, Adam Pugh and Jon Schultz would cap their nights off with feature wins in their respective divisions.

The Grand national division would find Troy Wiech grabbing the early lead after overtaking Steve Seitz on lap one. Weich and Seitz would battle it out for the first half of the feature before Larry Richards made an impressive drive to the front on the front stretch using the outside lane to his advantage. Richards lead would be short lived though as Terry Van Roy used the same outside line to his advantage as well. Terry Van Roy would Drive his pink 09 car back to Victory lane for his fourth win of the year at the Powercom Speed Zone. Seitz would finish second with Richards third, Dan Wirl fourth and Troy Weich fifth.

The Charter Communication Street Stock division would come to a battle of friends as Adam Pugh would overtake mark Schultz on lap 18 to grab the win. Mark Schultz, who had earlier taken the lead with a power move by jerry Kope, would lead from lap 14 until 18 when a rash of cautions would plaque him. It was on one of those restarts that Schultz got loose in corner 2 costing him the lead. Schultz would grab second while Gary Neau, Frank Formiller, and Tim Reichenberger rounded out the top five.

The Budweiser Modifieds would take the track for their A main with Brandon Czarapata and Jeremy Hedrick on the front row. Czarapata would take full advantage of the pole position picking up his first Budweiser A main win of the year at the Powercom Speed Zone. Czarapata would grab the lead on lap two and despite every effort by Scott Mullen, who would have to settle for second on the night. Dennis Schultz would also have strong run to grab third while Brian Drexler and a hard charging Paul Parker would round out the top 5.

The Signmakers Dirt Devils would finish the nights events off with another victory by  Jon Schultz. John hall would lead by a large margin for most the race as Schultz slowly worked his way into contention. When you’re on a role things go your way and when the leaders hit lap traffic it would be Hall adjusting his line and turning the lead over to Schultz. Bryan Monday grabbed a solid third while Ron Koenig and Mike Mueller grabbed fourth and fifth respectively.
