Great Lakes Maintenance Street Stock Showdown Coming To Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, WI – The first ever Great Lakes Maintenance Showdown at Zone, a special event for street stock drivers, will take place at the Powercom Speed Zone on Friday night, August 6th.

Featuring a $3,500 payout just for the street stock division, the Showdown at the Zone will also see the Gibbsville Cheese INEX Legend cars in action as well as Corporate Impressions/SignMakers Dirt Devils.  Pit gates for the special event will open at 3:30 pm with racing to begin at 7:00 pm.

The night’s racing program will be highlighted by a 30-lap A-main for the street stock division.  A full compliment of preliminary action is also slated in addition to the two other classes that will be in competition.

“Our street stock class at Oshkosh is always strong when it comes to numbers and I think that is reflected with the following they have in the stands,” said Wisconsin Motorsports General Manager Rex Melius.  “This show is for them.  It’s a special event that carries a solid payoff and it should draw a bunch of cars.”

Drivers in the street stock division are encouraged to pre-enter the event.  By doing so each driver will save $10.00 from the $40.00 fee.  Drivers will be admitted into the pit area that night for free after paying the mandatory entry fee.  The cutoff for pre-entry is Friday, July 30th.
