May 10, 2003
After a long off-season the Powercom Speedzone in Oshkosh, is set to kick off the 2003 season on May 20th. The 2003 season will present fans with unique opportunities to see a variety of classes racing throughout the regular season. This year’s weekly program will feature the Modifieds, Stocks, Grand Nationals, Dirt Devils and Hobbystocks. However, to provide something different for fans from week to week, the Speedzone will alternate the Figure 8 and Cruiser classes.
The schedule this year also includes numerous specials that should make things even more interesting for the fans. On June 17th, the UMP/WISSOTA Late Models will return to the Speedzone joining the already action packed regular night’s program. The MSA Sprint Cars are scheduled to make two trips to the track on July 15th and August 12th. While the point race will conclude on August 26th, racing action will continue with two big specials in September. September 1, the IRA Outlaw Sprints join the UMP/WISSOTA Late Models in a Monday twi-light show and on September 19th and 20th the Powercom Speedzone will host the Coca Cola Classic to wrap up the racing season.
Powercom Speedzone will take fan involvement to a new level this year with numerous promotions in conjunction with many of the fine sponsors supporting the track. In an effort to assist fans eager to find out what they can expect at the track Powercom Speedzone recently unveiled a new
