Fun For The Entire Family At MIS In 2007
Oregon, WI (April 27, 2007) - Chuck West is a man on a mission. As
coordinator of the Madison International Speedway Turn Four Kids' Club his
goal is to make the Kids' Club the best in the midwest and he's well on
his way to taking that honor.
Madison International Speedway is located in the peaceful countryside of the
Town of Rutland located ten miles south of Madison. The speedway is
located on Sunrise Road which is just south of Highway 138 between Stoughton
and Oregon.
What's really exciting about the commitment to families at MIS is the fact
that kids eleven years old and under are admitted free. Stop and think for a
minute as to how many sporting venues today have free admission for children
eleven years old and under. Professional or college sports? Not a
chance. "We are truly a family friendly facility and we invite
everyone to come out to Madison International Speedway to enjoy a night at the
races. Once you come we're confident you'll want to come back,"
said MIS promoter Dave Grueneberg. In fact, membership in the MIS Turn
Four Kids Club is also free.
One of the most exciting things happening for "MIS Turn 4 Kids Club
members" is the addition of a fantastic playground. We are transforming
the area directly behind the clubhouse into a 30' X 80' playground. This area
will contain the bounce-house, picnic tables and climbing/sliding/swinging
"Castle Series" playground from Rainbow Play Systems.
This year, at every "Regular Race Night" we will be giving away a
bicycle to one lucky "MIS Turn 4 Kids Club" member. Not just one
bike, BUT, one every regular race night courtesy of some great friends at TD
Automotive in Stoughton.
The Turn Four Kids Club also has a huge selection of smaller prizes to give
away as well including RC Cars, games, coloring boards, sandbox toys, cameras,
pizzas, and much, much more.
The Kids Club also features a variety of treats just for the kids. This
year they have added "State Fair Mini Donuts" to the snack items in
the clubhouse as well as some really delicious items in the ice cream
products. Of course, they will still be making "Cotton Candy on a stick
at every event.
This season kids can be the envy of their neighborhood as every "MIS Turn
4 Kids Club " member will receive an official Membership card and an
official "MIS Turn 4 Kids Club" T-shirt.
But the activities for kids and their families doesn't stop there...
MIS has also started something new which is the "MIS Fan-mily
Experience". This will greatly expand the enjoyment for fan families.
There will be lots of things happening for our fans and their families.
For example, MIS will be holding "Recliner Races" for the
families three times this season. Details can be found on our website at www.madisoninternationalspeedway.com.
The participants will race their racing recliner against other fan families.
What is really great about all of this is that our friends at Jensen Furniture
in Stoughton have agreed to sponsor these events. We will guarantee a purse
for each race, with the purse for the final event being guaranteed at $300.00
to be spilt between the top 5 competitors for each race. We can even help
participants find an old recliner to build into a Racin' Recliner.
MIS will also be holding a "Big Wheel" race this season as well as 2
"BIG $$$$ Coin Drops for the younger fans. Hundreds of dollars of
coins are poured onto the track and the kids will have the opportunity of a
life-time to pick up as many of them as they can.
On three occasions during the season we will be honoring a Fan Family by
making the lucky family the "MIS VIP Family" for the evening. They
will get to see how the scoring tower works and how we do time trials, then we
will escort them to the pit area to watch what goes on during tech inspection
and what happens at the drivers meeting. Finally, the family will be
able to enjoy the evenings races from one of our Skybox Suites. One member of
the family gets to drop the green flag for one of the feature events.
Simply put it looks like it's going to be a great season for "MIS Turn4
Kids Club" and the "MIS Fan-mily Experience". SO, Fan-milies,
"Start Your Engines", It's time to go racin' at Wisconsin's Fastest
Half Mile, Madison International Speedway.
