Big Weekend of Racing At MIS
Monday, August 14th, 2006 (Oregon, WI) - It's a big weekend of racing coming
up at Madison International Speedway.
On Friday night it's CarQuest Night featuring the Rockweiler Insulation
Limited Late Models, Bryden Motors Area Sportsman, Club La Mark Hobby Stocks,
Roto Rooter Bandits, and Pure Stocks. The USAR Hooters Pro Cup cars will
also be at the track for an open practice session. We would like to welcome
the CarQuest employees who will be joining us on Friday evening.
Friday night's events will be highlighted by the CarQuest 40 for the limited
late models that will pay $700.00 to win. The pits open at 3:30 with hot
laps at 4:45, qualifying at 6:45 and racing at 7:30.
Adult grandstand admission for Friday night is $8.00.
On Saturday night the USAR Hooters Pro Cup North Division returns to
Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile led by current points leader Benny Gordon of
Dubois, Pennsylvania, as they compete in the Miller Lite 250 presented by
Southern Wisconsin Dodge Dealers. The front stretch wall goes back in
after Friday night as this race will feature live pit stops. See some of
the top short track drivers in the United States racing at MIS this Saturday
night.
Also in action will be the Midwest Super Truck Series in their event sponsored
by Preferred Pets of Janesville and Beloit.
Qualifying is set for 4:45 followed by an on-track autograph session at 5:30
with racing starting at 7:00. Advance adult grandstand admission is
