A very special thank you goes out to the Union Laborers 464 and TDS Telecom for bringing out large groups to the speedway on Friday and supporting the racing program. Group outings are gaining in popularity at MIS and it's not too late to set one up for this year. Contact Holly at 608.835.9700.

Thanks to the Chad Stevens race team for the sweatshirts and coupons for the intermission drawing on Friday night. There were some very happy winners!

Trackside Charities put together a great 50/50 raffle with some awesome prizes including half the 50/50 total, tickets to the Michigan NASCAR event, and more. A large donation was also made to Dane County Prevent Child Abuse based on Chad Wood's finish in the Union Laborers 464 "100".

Thank you to all of the drivers who participated in Friday night's autograph session. It was a great experience for young and old alike. Way to go ladies and gentlemen!

No Practice This Week...the practice originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 9th has been cancelled.

This Friday is Tech Stain Remover Night presented by Swiss Colony

All five weekly divisions will be in action this Friday for Tech Stain Remover Night presented by Swiss Colony at Madison International Speedway. Swiss Colony has added $200.00 to the top five finishing positions in the Madison ASA Late Model feature.

Counting this week there are four points nights remaining for the Limited Late Models, Bandits, Area Sportsman, and Hobby Stocks and just three left for the Madison ASA Late Models.

Travis Sauter holds down a narrow 566-543 advantage over Bobby Wilberg in the Weaver Auto Parts Madison ASA Late Model division. Sauter is in pursuit of his first track championship while Wilberg is trying to repeat as track champion. Jesse Saunders is currently in third with 411 points followed by Dan Lensing (405) and Nick Hammer (384). Completing the top ten are Andrew Morrissey (349), Jason Tyler (348), Nathan Haseleu (322), Zack Riddle (319), and Tom Gille (294).

Jeremy MIller leads Bobby Wilberg by thirty-three points (376-343) in the chase for the title in the Rockweiler Insulation Limited Late Models. Following the leaders in the top five are Bill Baumeister (312), Jerry Gille (297), and Beau Sanden (471).

With a season high five feature wins, Scott Riedner totals 721 points in the Bryden Motors Area Sportsman to lead the division. Trying to catch Riedner is Scott Lawver who sits in second place with 673 followed by Casey Burns (576), Ryan Goldade (528), and Randy Padfield (472).

The Club La Mark Hobby Stocks appear to have a two car battle for the championship with Mike Storkson currently holding an eighteen point lead over Johnny Robinson II (683-665) in a race certain to go down to the final night. Nick Newton is third with 577 points followed by Kyle Stark (567) and Rodger Stephenson (471).

Looking Back at Friday Night

Perfect weather and a great crowd made for a super night of racing at MIS this past Friday night for Union Laborers 464 and TDS Telecom Night.

Congratulations to our feature winners from last Friday night: Nathan Haseleu, Pete Carlson, Dave Trute, and Casey Burns.

Haseleu led wire to wire to win the Union Laborers 464 "100" for the Weaver Auto Parts Madison ASA Late Models. Thirty-eight Madison ASA Late Models were on hand to compete. The Chaplain's Corner
by Todd Christopherson

This week I was thinking about the guys from the Dells and that they are "homeless." I am down on State Street often and see many that are homeless in a really sense. When I was in New York City there are 1,000's that are homeless. It is a big issue in this country.
God says that we are homeless also. That we have only two choices in our eternal home or not so home. The bible is clear that there is only a heaven or a hell for our eternal home. He tells use that we get to hell by doing nothing. That it is a place of pain and hopelessness. On the other hand by calling out to Jesus as our LORD and giving him ownership of our lives we are given the great opportunity to worship and praise God forever.
It is great that we are able to give the Dells guys a temporary home for this season. Remember that we are only here on earth for a temporary time and that we want to be ready for the eternal.
See you this weekend and remember if I can help let me know,
