The Skies Over MIS Come Alive This Friday Night
by John Wells
Thursday, June 22, 2006 (Oregon, WI) - The skies over Wisconsin's Track of
Champions will come alive this Friday night when Gordie Boucher of Janesville
presents a full night of racing action along with an awesome fireworks display
compliments of Thundercat Fireworks.
Highlighting the racing action will be the Firecracker 75 for the Weaver Auto
Parts ASA Late Models and the Firecracker 40 for the Mid American Stock Car
Series. The Club La Mark Hobby Stocks and Roto Rooter Bandits will be in
action on the quarter mile.
Bobby Wilberg of Orfordville is the current points leader in the Weaver Auto
Parts ASA Late Models with Kyle Stark of Waterloo on top of the Club La Mark
Hobby Stocks and fifteen year old Tyler Kelley of Oregon topping the Roto
Rooter Bandits.
Once again the local gods of thunder from Thundercat Fireworks will try to
outdo themselves with another spectacular aerial and ground display.
According to MIS general manager Dave Grueneberg, "I don't know how they
do it. Just when you think they can't make it any better they do!
These guys put on a fantastic show."
Pit gates open at 3:30 with hot laps at 4:45, qualifying at 6:45, and racing
at 7:30.
