Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure Running in Conjunction
With 1st Milwaukee Nationals Street Rod Event
Milwaukee, Wis. (July 13, 2005) - This weekend offers up a prime invitation to
take laps on the The Milwaukee Mile Speedway with the Dale Jarrett Racing
Adventure this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (July 15, 16 and 17), during the
1st National Street Rod Association Milwaukee Nationals!
Over 1500 street rods, custom cars, street machines and muscle cars through
1975 will roar into State Fair Park and the Wisconsin Exposition Center this
weekend. Listen to great entertainment, visit numerous exhibitors, food
and beverage vendors and stroll through rows of steel and chrome.
Whether you want to take the wheel or ride along with a driving instructor,
this is your chance to climb into a real NEXTEL Cup race car on one of the
most storied speedways in America!
Take laps on the same track as auto racing legends A.J. Foyt, Parnelli Jones,
Barney Oldfield, Dale Earnhardt, Mario Andretti, Rodger Ward, Butch Hartman,
Bobby Allison, Alan Kulwicki and many more.
Drive a NEXTEL Cup Stock Car for 10, 20, even 80 laps, or let a skilled
instructor do the driving while you experience the speed with the Dale Jarrett
Racing Adventure!
If you plan to drive, pre-registration is required. If you prefer to
ride along, reservations are recommended. However, if the racing bug
bites you once you are in Milwaukee, you can purchase a “Qualifier” ride
along at The Milwaukee Mile any of the days during the 1st NSRA Milwaukee
Nationals at the track.
A typical session starts with a driver’s meeting. You then are taken
in a passenger vehicle around the speedway to learn the proper racing groove
and how to exit the speedway to enter pit road. Next, you’ll take the
wheel of a real NEXTEL Cup racecar!
Each student driver is accompanied by a professional instructor that has no
brake or second steering wheel. Instructors serve as on-board spotters
and help you drive the correct racing line, putting you in full control to
allow you to go much faster and safer than any other school.
You can expect as many as 8 cars on the track at once, and the entire driving
process takes about 2 hours.
Unique to Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure, you are always allowed to pass, and
you don’t have to follow anyone!

QUALIFIER Ride Along (3 Laps)
- You will experience a qualifying run, which takes you for the ride of a
lifetime in the passenger seat of a real NEXTEL Cup Stock Car, at speed with a
professional driving instructor!
SEASON OPENER (10 Laps)
- Begins with a 30 minute classroom orientation. You are then placed in a
passenger vehicle and shown how to safely enter and exit the speedway, the
proper racing groove and how to draft and pass other cars. Then it’s your
turn behind the wheel of a real NEXTEL Cup Stock Car to drive for 10 laps!
ROOKIE ADVENTURE (20 Laps)
- Gives you the opportunity to complete the Season Opener program and critique
your first 10 laps (if needed). Then it’s right back in the car for 10 more
laps, in search of the perfect racing line and quickly reaching your top
speed!
HAPPY HOUR (30 Laps)
- Program begins with the same classroom and on track procedures as the Season
Opener and Rookie Adventure. You will drive 2-3 separate segments of 10, 15,
or 20 laps. There are 2 arrival times daily, 7:30am & 12:30pm.
ADVANCED STOCK CAR ADVENTURE (60 Laps)
- One step below their most aggressive package. You will complete all programs
listed above with an additional 30 laps to complete your adventure of a
lifetime. Program varies slightly by track size and design. One
session daily.
CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE (80 Laps)
- This offers the closest NEXTEL Cup racing experience available. You will
complete all programs listed above. Sessions will include drafting,
passing, and side by side action. Program varies slightly by track size,
design, and number of participants. One session daily.
You will be provided a Dale Jarrett Racing suit, helmet, and Hutchens Safety
Device. You should wear something that can fit under the race suit
comfortably. One requirement is to wear closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes,
for example). No sandals or flops, or even clunky boots.
