Prietzel Leads Mid-Am Stock Car Points Going Into WIR

KAUKAUNA, WI -- Bill Prietzel of Franklin, WI holds a 486-419 point lead over Mike Skaja of New Prague, MN going into Saturday night's 30-lap Mid-American Stock Car Series feature at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna.

The Mid-American division will join the Midwest AllStar Late Models and Fox River Racing Club Limited Late Models on the half-mile paved oval as the 34th annual Red, White & Blue State Championship Series for stock cars gets started.  The second and third races in the three-race series are Saturday nights, July 23 and August 13.

Practice begins at 3 p.m. followed by qualifying at 5 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.  Twin 50-lap MARS Late Models features top the evening's program.

Among the other leading early entries for the Mid-American division for Saturday's race are Jeremy Miller of Rockton, IL, Andrew Ruthenbeck of Virginia, MN, Lyle Nowak of Wausau, WI, Jeremy Spoonmore of Somonauk, Il; Scott Null of Lake Mills, WI; Jason Taghikhani of Milwaukee, WI, Ron Weyer of Richfield, WI, Greg Marks of Maribel, WI, Andy Jirik of Lonsdale, MN, Gary Tisler of Cato, WI, Billy Tuckwell of Peoria, IL, Pat McIntee of West Bend, WI, Jeff Tisler of Reedsville, WI, and Dave Obermeyer of Allenton, WI.
