Stock Car Classics Open At LaCrosse June 11
WEST SALEM, WI -- The Midwest Stock Car Classics division will open its season
Saturday night, June 11 at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem,
WI. The classics race will be run in conjunction with a regular weekly
NASCAR program on the half-mile paved oval with racing to start at 7:15 p.m.
The third annual Yesteryears Racer Reunion will also be held in conjunction
with the vintage stock car race in the Fairgrounds 4-H Building from noon to
6:30 p.m.
A winners circle question, answer and autograph session begins at 2 p.m.
A number of special guests and former drivers are expected to attend the event
sponsored by Deppe Enterprises.
The pit area for stock car classis and local racers opens at 3
p.m. Each stock car classic driver participating will receive $50
to help cover travel expenses.
Other upcoming classics events will be Friday night, Aug. 5 at Madison
International Speedway (half-mile paved oval) and Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27
at the Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, WI.
