Luxemburg Speedway Cancels Practice Day

(Luxemburg, WI) April 9 - Track officials at Luxemburg Speedway have announced their open practice session slated to take place Friday, April 13 has been cancelled due to an abundance of cold, wet weather.

"Basically we don't want to risk ruining the track," said track manager Rick Goral after a survey of the third-mile, clay oval. "It's somewhat dry on top but it's still pretty soft underneath. We don't want to take the chance of a choppy track. The forecast all week doesn't look promising. The week leading up to our opener, though, is looking much better."

So while the practice is off plans remain for the 2007 season will kick off Friday night, April 20 at 7 p.m. with KICKS 104.9 FM sponsoring opening night.

IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA northern sportmods and sport fours will compete weekly through Labor day weekend. For more information call 920 863 8446. The track's website is www.luxemburgspeedway.com.  Luxemburg Speedway is located 15 minutes east of Green Bay off highway 54 at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds.
