Luxemburg Speedway Readies for Third Annual "Legend Night"

(Luxemburg, WI) - Officials at Luxemburg Speedway are preparing for the third annual Oldies 103.1 FM WOGB Luxemburg Legends night at the third-mile, clay oval Friday night, August 6 at 7 p.m.  More than two dozen retired drivers who competed at the track during the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's will be honored during ceremonies at intermission.  Some of those drivers will also take part in a pair of special legends races at the end of the regular program.

The Vintage Modified Stock Car Club of Milwaukee will also have more than one dozen restored race cars on display, including coupes, winged modifieds and full bodied sportsman cars.  "This night has really become a fun one for us to do," said track manager Rick Goral.  "It's been building every year and we're looking forward to another fun time."

Among the driver who've taken part in the show in the past are Al Snellenberger, Bobby Marquis, Lynn Wolfgram, Al Jesse, Roger Paul, Don Mahlberg, Reggie Cochart, Red BeDell, Ken Vandertie, Ron DePrey, Paul and Bob Whicker, George Giesen, Stan Gracyalny and Bucky Wagner.

A full program of Budweiser IMCA modifieds, Tri-County Heating IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks and sport fours is on tap.  If any retired drivers are interested in taking part in the Luxemburg Legends night call 920 490-0120.
