Two More Nights Left At LGR
TRAILER RACES ADDED TO FINAL RACE NIGHT

Lake Geneva, WI. (spl) With all the Wisconsin and Illinois oval tracks closed for the season. Lake Geneva Raceway in it’s last days of existence isn’t going out with a fight. Originally the 14th. of October was the final night. Then the next day stadium dirt course was the final moto cross event. But then it was announced that there would be one last Saturday night show. The best thing that could top off a great last season. How about a “run what ya brung” race show. Wow! But then the phone rang at the raceway office and Dale Erdmann’s home. Everyone wanted one last trailer race. ”The phone rang off the hook”, said Erdmann. The answering machine was full everyday, both at the track and at Erdmann’s home. These calls were from both our regulars, along with Jefferson Speedway and Rockford Speedway fans and competitors. Many said this would their only opportunity to witness what has been the best Trailer races. Thanks. But we stole the idea from Jody Deery. They will be able to Run with it a lot more years.

So what could Promoter Kevin Dawson do? What else? Yes, we will have our last trailer race in October. Remember I said, October. This does not rule out something for maybe, New Years eve. Wouldn’t that be great? For now, the 21st. of October could be the biggest show of the final season. Fans should get here early. Trailer race competitors should call the raceway to register. There will be no limit for the number of races. The raceway office is 262-248-8566.

The run what ya brung show has gotten a lot of interest from the region. Everyone would love to break the records. The 4 cylinder will run together. The 8 cylinders will run together. Just like bracket racing, but no vacations. It will be a fun night and awards will go for the most wildest vehicle. No rules, except safety.

For more information please call the raceway. Or visit our website for updates. This show was not scheduled when the 2006 list came out. It just came about last Thursday during the final Fall classic. We are still looking for a sponsor for what may be the biggest show of the season. Call Dale Erdmann at 262-878-3940 for details.

The raceway program book is finally out. There will be additional pages for the fall classic.
