All Time Record Crowd Enjoys Trailer Races
MAY MAKES IT NUMBER EIGHT

Lake Geneva, WI. Spetember 3rd. - The weather was perfect, as an all time record crowd, made Kevin Dawson do something very unusual. Because the was no more room at the raceway, the ticket seller Nancy Cassidy was told to stop selling spectator admission tickets. An estimated crowd of nearly 500 people were turned away, Saturday night at Lake Geneva Raceway. The trailer race would top off the show, as Brad Wilson of Kenosha put on the best show of the 24 entries. The final ever trailer race will be Friday night September 15th. Eddie May the current points leader from Crystal Lake, Illinois won the rain rescheduled R A Adams Enterprises of McHenry night feature for the super late models, in the 40 lap event. John Janssen of Burlington won his second Performance Unlimited sportsman feature, moving within 85 points of the lead with only two weeks to go for points. Scott Norton of Wonder Lake, IL. won his second 30 lap feature of the season in the highly competitive McHenry Limousine super stocks.

Next Saturday night Quality Tire/American Car Care Center of Spring Grove, IL. will sponsor the night. John Jindra the former of the company will be honored in the John Jindra memorial race for the super stock cars. The night will also be a homecoming for any former fan, friend, driver and employee that has been here anytime since that first show in 1963, when the drag strip was only there. The raceway will close after the October 21st. oval track finale and never reopen. Time trials Saturday begin at 5:45 pm. racing at 7 pm.
