Triple Header Ahead At LGR

Lake Geneva, WI. (spl) - This coming weekend marks the first special event at Lake Geneva Raceway. On Saturday May 20th. the first ever appearance of the ASA (American speed Association) will take place. The Northern Division will make it’s mark on the world’s fastest paved banked oval.

A field of over 50 race cars, from more that 10 states will participate in this once only show. Because of a rain out last Saturday night, the sportsman division will join the group in a Lynch Motors special. The sportsman will race for $1000 to win the 50 lap feature. Each driver that starts the feature will receive $100 to start. The reason for this date is due to the fact the Mid American cars are off that night. A field of over 40 cars should be on hand.

Because of the large amount of race cars, the ASA cars will start practicing at 11:30 am. Time trials will begin at 4:30.Races begin at 7sharp.The McHenry Limousine super stocks will also be here. Tickets will only be sold at the gate. Race fans are urged to arrive early, as a full house is expected.

On the weekly Friday night programs that takes place on the oval and the stadium dirt course for motocross racing, the new starting time is now 7:30 pm for both shows.
