Quality Auto And Truck Repair To Sponsor Small Car World Championships
Lake Geneva, WI. (spl) In just a few short days night number one of the
largest three day race program will take place. On Friday night September
30th. Quality Auto and Truck repair located at 3922 75th. Street
(Highway 50) in Kenosha will sponsor this big night. The owner Lloyd Bellaire
a former sport truck driver wants people to know about his new venture and
sponsoring this night is a way of doing just that.
The championship for the Lusia’s pizzeria mini modifieds will be determined.
Mike VanHouten of Cary, Illinois holds a slim 5 point lead over Curt Thomazin
of Elkhorn. Neither driver has ever been champion. The mini modifieds
suffered early in the season with a low car count, but now the numbers are up
and this is another close chase.
The Midwest sport trucks held their championship last month, but they are
looking forward to the American short trackers and International cars coming
down again for a division of cars and trucks.
The rascal outlaws who raced a lot of Friday night shows, have a big points
battle going on. Kip Novotny of Johnsburg, IL. and Chris Bedore of
Popular Grove, IL. are very close in the points race.
Other divisions that have been here this season that will compete, include the
super mini cups, the formula indy cars that have raced here since the late
70’s and the Burris circle track karts.
Time trials will begin at 6pm. racing at 7:30. The tickets can be
purchased that night or part of a three day spectator pass for just $25 for
adults and juniors 8 to 14 just $12. visit the LGR website for up to
