(West Salem, WI – April 21, 2007) - Mark Lamoreaux won the Coca-Cola 25 Late Models Feature at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway Saturday.

Lamoreaux steadily made his way to the front after starting in the sixth position. “I didn’t want to get in any trouble this week. I was taking my time and picking off a couple of cars every couple of laps.” said Lamoreaux. “I’ve got a really good car that can run on the inside or outside… It ought to be a really good year.” He passed Dan Steele on the outside, with 2 laps to go, to take the lead. Steele started and finished in the 3rd position. Steve Carlson finished 2nd after coming off of a win last Saturday. Carlson started eighth and was up to third with only 7 laps to go. J. Herbst finished 4th and coming in 5th was Paul Proksch.

The only caution of the race was on lap 7. The number 54 car of Bill Niles spun in turn one and collected the 76 car of Tim Nelson. It was determined later that the throttle of the 54 car was stuck and caused Niles to spin. Both cars were out for the rest of the race. Niles finished in 24th and Nelson in 25th. Kevin Nuttleman finished 9th after his second place finish last week and Andy Burgess finished 6th.

Dan Gilster won the North Country Contractors Sportsmen race. He started in the seventh position behind his brother, Jimmy Gilster. Jimmy started and finished in the 2nd position beating Larry Bolster (3rd) by inches. Bolster restarted second after a caution on lap 14 brought out by Wayne Smith (23rd), but was not able to hold off Jimmy Glister. Aaron Hass finished 4th and Todd Lockington rounded out the top 5.

Jake Krueger won the United Auto Supply Thunderstox race by a half car length over Adam Moore. The win wasn’t easy. With 2 laps to go Moore was all over the bumper of Krueger and caused him to get loose, but he held on for the win. Steve Bornitz finished 3rd, Bill Inglett 4th, and Jamie Dummer took the 5th position.

In addition to the three regular features, the Features Sports Bar and Grill Hornets were out Saturday too. They put on three great races filled with cautions. The first feature was won by Ron Amann, the second by Matt Moore, and the third by Tom Phillips.
