Racing Still On For Saturday At LaCrosse
April 12, 2007

(West Salem, WI.)  Despite the unexpected snowstorm that dropped 5 or more inches of snow in the Midwest Wednesday night, LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway is going forward with today’s Tune and Test session.  The session will start at 5PM and run until 7PM.

In addition to the open practice slated for today, the 2007 racing season WILL begin on Saturday.  The storm front that had caused the snow has moved through and the temperatures have been on the rise and skies are beginning to clear.   “We have been bombarded with many phone calls and emails asking if we are still racing” stated speedway Director of Operations Ray Loughan.  “Everything is on schedule and we are looking forward to the first night of competition” he added.

Saturday’s season opener will start at 7:15 and will feature the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, North Country Contractors Sportsmen and the United Auto Supply Thunderstox all presented by Budweiser.  A novelty event will also take place.  Gates Open at 5:00 and qualifying is set to begin at 5:45.
