(West Salem, WI – July 22, 2006) - Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model points leader Kevin Nuttleman survived a race-long fight with Jon Barrette and Adam Degenhardt to take the Altra Federal Credit Union feature event at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway.

At the start of the 25 lap feature, it looked like it was going to be a full-moon kind of night, with three yellows in the first three laps.  Adam Degenhardt took the early lead from the pole, and was followed close by Tim Nelson.  The first yellow came out on lap two, after the car of Steve Carlson suddenly slowed mid-pack, which caused an accordion effect to the back of the pack, where a few cars spun in turn four.  The next yellow flew on the restart as the engine of Jared Soller blew and spilled oil through turns one and two.  The race restarted again and then it was a turn two wreck involving a spinning Tim Nelson, which caught up the cars of Tommy Pecaro and Andy Niles.  Meanwhile, Degenhardt still had the lead over the pack with Chris Skrede on his tail. After a couple of paint swapping laps Nuttleman made his way to the front of the pack around Skrede and then Degenhardt. With 12 laps to go Nuttleman held on to the top position to take the win for his second feature of the season.

Saturday evening’s Ray Hutson Chevrolet Sportsmen Altra Federal Credit Union 15 featured Chad Rosendahl, the 2005 Sportsmen Rookie-of-The Year, as the leader at the start of the race, and was able to maintain that lead over the truck of Jamie Millis.  After several position swapping moves from the drivers in the top ten allowed Rosendahl to maintain the lead and race his way to his first feature win over runner-up Jimmy Gilster.

The United Auto Supply Thunderstox provided lots of thrills Saturday evening with Josh Inglett taking the lead at the start of the race.  With 12 laps to go Kris Buldhaupt and Dan Secor became tangled after crashing out just before the start/finish line. That was the  one and only caution of the Thunderstox Altra Federal Credit Union 15.  On the restart, Inglett had control of the race and took the checkered-flag for a well-deserved first feature win.
