Big 8 Series to Run Sunday of FEST

West Salem, WI- Drivers from the Big 8 Series will have their skills showcased on Sunday afternoon October 9 of the 36th annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend.  Originally slated to compete on Thursday night, speedway management made the decision to move the Big 8 Series to Sunday, joining the ARTGO Reunion 100 for Super Late Models, La Crosse Late Models and Modifieds.

The Big 8 Series showcases weekly drivers from tracks such as La Crosse, Rockford, Jefferson, Columbus and Lake Geneva.  "We are proud that our young series has this opportunity to compete on Sunday of Oktoberfest, with the shows we have had so far this season, I think the fans will be in for a real treat." Commented Series Organizer Gregg McKarns.  "Our first Champion will be crowned on Sunday at Fest, that is a special honor."

The top eight drivers in the Big 8 Series point standings will be locked into Sunday's event while the remaining drivers will transfer into the feature event by way of qualifying races and a last chance event.  Entry forms for this event will be available by contacting the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway Office at 608-786-1525, and are expected to be available later this month.
