Hedrick Has Control Over Modified Feature
by Jennifer Jach

July 8, 2005; Antigo, Wisconsin; Jeremie Hedrick claimed his first ever Feature Win in Antigo with winning the IMCA Modified Feature.  Mike Bostwick broke JP Remington’s streak of Feature Wins in the Trucks.  Larry Karcz returned to Victory Lane with a win in the IMCA Stock Cars, and Gary Kasperek grabbed the win in the WISSOTA Street Stocks.  A.J. Diemel was Victorious in the WISSOTA Late Models.

Troy Springborn grabbed the lead of the WISSOTA Late Model Feature with A.J. Diemel in second and Terry Casey in third.  Diemel quickly moved to the outside and took over the lead from Springborn before coming to the line for lap one.  The race slowed for the caution, when racing continued it was Diemel jumping to the point, Springborn runner-up and Luke Roffers third.  The caution flag made another appearance and on this restart it was Diemel at the point, Roffers second, and Springborn third.  Chris Carlson used the outside lane to get around Springborn for the third spot, and then took over second as something would break on Roffers car, sending him to the pits.  The laps winded down and crossing the line first was Diemel, runner-up Carlson, and Springborn third.

The IMCA Modified Feature seen a handful of caution flags before a lap was completed.  When the green finally waved it was Jeremie Hedrick in the lead, Paul Parker second, and Wade Schutt third.  Parker used the outsider line to get around Hedrick for the lead, but Hedrick took it back a lap later.  Schutt then took over the second spot, passing Parker to the inside.  The caution flag again slowed racing but on the restart Hedrick grabbed the lead, Eric Scribner second, and Schutt third.  Hedrick was awarded the win, Scribner second, and Schutt third.

When the green flag dropped on the IMCA Stock Car Feature it was Steve Kastning in the lead, Barry VanStraten second and Larry Karcz in third.  Karcz grabbed the inside line to make his move on VanStraten, and then on Kastning for the lead.  VanStraten slipped high letting Dan Michonski take over the third spot.  Michonski was not happy in third and went to the inside of Kastning for the runner-up spot.  Karcz raced to the checkered first, Michonski second, and Giese third.

Gary Kasperek jumped to the lead of the WISSOTA Street Stock Feature with Lee Christjohn second, and Mark Schuenemann third.  Schuenemann dropped back in the field with problems giving third to Jermey Wolfe.  The caution flag waved after Wolfe stalled on the front stretch.  On the restart, Kasperek jumped to the point, Christjohn second and Randy Howard third.  Coming to the checkers it was Kasperek taking the win, Christjohn spinning by himself, giving second to Keith Raab, and third to Howard.

Jeremy Dake used his pole starting position to jump to the lead of the Truck Feature with Forest Crandall second, and Eric Ney third.  Racing slowed due to the caution flag, and on the restart Dake grabbed the point, Mike Bostwick second, and JP Remington third. No sooner than the green flag flew, the caution was out again.  Racing resumed with Bostwick taking the point, Remington second, and Dake third.  Remington would spin by himself on the white flag lap giving second to Dake and third to Mark Arrowood.  Bostwick took the checkers first, Dake second, and Arrowood rounding out the top three.
