by Jennifer Jach

June 24, 2005; Antigo, Wisconsin; JP Remington made it four Features in a Row with a win in the Truck Make-Up Feature, and the regular Feature.  Charlie Wild and AJ Diemel both made it two in a row with Feature Wins in the IMCA Modifieds, and WISSOTA Late Models.  Gary Kasperek claimed the top spot in the WISSOTA Street Stocks.

Gordie Seegert grabbed the lead of the WISSOTA Late Model Feature with AJ Diemel second and Chris Carlson third.  Diemel quickly moved to the outside lane and went around Seegert for the lead.  Troy Springborn made his was to the top three with a pass on Carlson.   A caution flag slowed the race, but when the green was waved it was Diemel at the point, Seegert second, and Carlson third.  After another restart, Diemel again grabbed the point, Carlson second and Seegert third. Carlson would loose his position when he would slip high, letting Tim Buhler sneak to the inside.  AJ Diemel went on the claim the win with Seegert second and Buhler rounding out the top three.

When the green flag fell on the IMCA Modified Feature it was Dave Diemel on the point, Jon Berna second, and Charlie Wild third.  Berna grabbed the outside line and easily went around Diemel for the lead, and Eric Scribner would take the third position away from Wild.  The caution flag slowed the action, but when racing resumed, it was Berna at the point, Wild second, and Wade Schutt in third.  Wild and Schutt went around Berna to take first and second, but something would break on Schutt’s car bringing out the caution, and the checkered due to the expired time limit.  The win was awarded to Wild, second to Mike Wedelstadt, and third to Berna.

Asa Doxtator grabbed the lead of the IMCA Stock Car Feature, Bruce Belland second, and Darren Otto third.  The top three all went 3 wide heading into the backstretch, when they all shuffled out coming out of four and to the flag stand it was Belland in the lead, Doxtator second, and Larry Karcz third.  Karcz moved to the outside line and went around Doxtator for the second spot.  The caution flag slowed the action, but when the green fell it was Belland holding onto the lead, Karcz second, and Jason Czarapata third.  Before the checkers fell, Czarapata grabbed the second spot away from Karcz.  The winner was Bruce Belland, second to Czarapata, and third to Karcz.

The WISSOTA Street Stock Feature went green with John Fetzer grabbing the lead, Gary Kasperek second and Junior Howard third.  The caution flag slowed the race early on, but when the green fell it was Kasperek jumping to the lead, Jermey Wolfe second, and Fetzer third.  Lee Christjohn made his was to the top three with an outside pass on Fetzer, and Dan Wanta followed taking over fourth.  The top three was in sight for Wanta as he dug to the inside of Christjohn for third.  Wanta was not happy with third and again dug to the inside to take over second from Wolfe.  Wanta ran out of time to catch the leader, but when the checkers flew it was Kasperek taking the win, Wanta second, and Wolfe third.

JP Remington grabbed the lead of the Truck Feature with Forrest Crandall second and Jeff Becker third.  Travis Rank grabbed the inside line and was able to go around Becker for third and then Crandall for second.  The caution flag waved, and on the restart it was Remington again taking the point, Rank second, and Mike Bostwick third.  Bostwick was able to take over second before the race ended.  The checkered waved for Remington, second to Bostwick, and third to Rank.

John Ripley grabbed the lead of the Truck Make-Up Feature with JP Remington second and Jeff Becker third.  Remington and Becker fought for the second position over the next few laps, with Remington holding onto the position, but on a mission for the lead.  Remington would take over the point with only a lap to go.  When the checkers flew, it was Remington taking the win, Ripley second and Becker third.
