Langlade County Speedway Set To Open May 13
May 1, 2005; Antigo, Wisconsin; Antigo Stock Car, Inc. is happy to announce
the opening date of the Langlade County Speedway is set for May 13,
2005. According to track officials the track has been coming along
nicely. It was recently grated and packed, with the inside corners still
a little wet. The club purchased a newer water tank, and the guardrail
is getting some much-needed attention, as is the track maintenance
equipment. Included in this project the guardrail was straightened, and
new poles were added. The club is in the first stages of a registration
building and a new food stand in the pits. Be sure to look for the
many new updates at the Speedway! As in past years Forest County
Potawatomi is the season sponsor.
The weekly race program includes WISSOTA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA
Stock Cars, WISSOTA Street Stocks, and ASCI Trucks. Racing continues
weekly until September 2, 2004 with a break on June 10th for the Off-Road
Races. Racing begins at 7:15. Food and beverages are sold on the
grounds. Langlade County Speedway is located on the north side of
Antigo, just off of Highway 45 at the Langlade County Fairgrounds. For
