Larry Karcz Jr. Wins Exciting IMCA Stock Car Feature
By Jennifer Jach

June 24, 2004; Antigo, Wisconsin; After a couple showers slowed the program down on Friday night, the Feature Events were run on a smooth and very fast track.  On hand were 27 WISSOTA Late Models, the biggest car count for that class this season!  Gordie Seegert Jr. would come out the winner for the WISSOTA Late Model Feature, with Wade Schutt taking the top spot in the IMCA Modifieds.  Larry Karcz Jr. would win an exciting IMCA Stock Car Feature Event, and Bruce Belland would take top honors in the WISSOTA Street Stocks.  Sean Thayer would once again be the winner of the Truck Feature on Advantage Realty Night at the Races!

Tom Naeyaert took the green flag in the WISSOTA Late Model Feature with Mark Mitchell second and Todd Flannery third.  Todd Flannery would take over the second position from Mitchell as Gordie Seegert would take third away from Mitchell in the same corner.  Seegert would then look to the inside of Flannery for the second spot.  Seegert would make his move at about the half way mark to take over the top position and would never look back.  A.J. Diemel would look to the inside of Flannery for the third spot.  When the 20 laps ran out, it was Seegert taking the back-to-back Feature win, Naeyaert second and Diemel third.

The IMCA Modifieds started the race with the famous four wide salute to the fans on the parade lap.  When the green flag fell it was Scott Williams taking the point, Dave Diemel second, and Eric Scribner in third.  The caution flag would fly for the first time during the night an on the restart, Williams would take the pint with Scribner second and Diemel third.  Schutt would take the inside line around Diemel for the third spot as the caution flag would fly again.  Williams would once again take the point, Schutt would move to the second spot and Scribner third.

Schutt would take over the lead with an inside pass around Williams and would immediately pull away from the field.  The caution flag would fly for the third time and on this restart, Schutt would take the point, Scribner second, and Williams third.  Williams would take over the second spot with an inside pass on Scribner.  When the checkers flew it was Schutt taking the win, Williams second, and Scribner rounding out the top three.

The IMCA Stock Cars seen Troy Jervotz take the green with Leslie Slater second and Jeremy Christians in the third spot.  Christians would immediately look to the inside of Slater for the second spot.  Dan Michonski would take the inside line around Slater for the fourth spot as Larry Karcz Jr. would go to the inside of Slater and Michonski to make it three wide on the backstretch.  Karcz would take over the third spot, with Michonski in the fourth position. Karcz would not settle for third and would take second away from Jervotz, and would look to the inside of Christians for the lead.  Shannon Volkman would take over the third spot with a pass on Michonski and Jervotz, and the top three would start to pull away from the field.  When the laps expired, it was Karcz taking the win with Christians second and Volkman in third.

Gary Kasperek took the lead from his outside starting spot of the WISSOTA Street Stock Feature, with Jeremy Wolfe in a close second and Scott VanProoyen third.  The top three would pull slightly away from the field as the caution flag would fly.  On the restart it was Kasperek taking the point, Belland second and Bob Ney third.  Lee Christjohn would take the inside line around Ney for the third spot, as Belland would look to the outside of Kasperek.  Kasperek and Belland would race wheel to wheel for about two laps before Belland was able  to pull away from Kasperek and take the lead.  When the checkers flew it was Belland taking the win, Kasperek second and Christjohn rounding out the top three.

The Truck Feature seen Jeremy Dake take the lead with J.P. Remington in the runner up spot, and Travis Widder third.  Sean Thayer would take over the third spot from Widder as would Paul Bostwick, moving Widder to fifth.  Thayer would get a run off the corner and would take the inside line around Remington and then around Dake for the lead.  Dake would then spin in turn four, and Remington would take second and Mark Arrowood third.  Arrowood would take the inside line around Remington as would Mike Bostwick.  When the laps expired it was Thayer taking the win, Arrowood second, and Mike Bostwick third.
