“This is an exciting opportunity to be working with Jeff Sachse and the
WCS.” Roy Kenseth stated. “Jeff and his group have done a
tremendous job of trying to keep the cost of racing from going up. They
have earned the respect of many Midwest Late Model drivers. This can be proven
from the car counts and the exciting shows that racing fans have
witnessed. I am excited to not only have his series, but the drivers who
are dedicated to running his series, participate in this great event.”
Sachse, the promoter of the Wisconsin Challenge Series, is equally excited,
“We're glad to have the opportunity to work with RK Race Promotions in
making this event happen. There's no doubt it raises the bar for our
shows. At the same time WCS will benefit from the show by providing a
solid field of local talent. This will be a big moment in Wisconsin
short track racing history, and one that will hopefully grow and continue.”
Sachse also felt that a race like this is not only beneficial to his series
but to the local racer as well, “An event of this stature puts the local
short track racer in the spotlight. The ability for local racing heroes
to compete against NASCAR stars not only makes it exciting for the fans, but
for the drivers themselves. There's no doubt this show will be among the
most anticipated WCS events we've ever contested.”
Further information regarding advance ticket sales, VIP packages, purse and
the other NASCAR drivers will be released at a later date. Various
sponsorship packages are also available for this event. If interested,
