(KAUKAUNA, WI) –Legendary drivers Cale Yarborough, Buddy Baker, Harry Gant and Ernie Irvan will participate in the “Legends” NASCAR Elite Division race prior to the Oneida Bingo & Casino 300. The event is scheduled for Tue, Aug. 5 at Wisconsin International Raceway, Kaukauna.

All four have been named among NASCAR’s top 50 drivers of all time and will compete in the “Legends” race, which will be a warm-up for the main event—the Oneida Bingo & Casino 300.

The Oneida Bingo & Casino 300 is part of the NASCAR Elite Division, International Truck and Engine Corporation Midwest Series (formerly the NASCAR RE/MAX Challenge Series).

“It is truly exciting to have these household-name drivers participating in the Legends race,” said Rod Kresal of Game Day Sports Marketing, promoter of the Oneida Bingo & Casino 300. “It’s a tribute to how well Oneida Bingo & Casino has established this annual NASCAR event at WIR.”

“We will offer two autograph sessions prior to the race in order to give fans a chance to get up close and personal to these historical favorites,” said Heather Cornelius, Marketing Assistant for the casino. “Those sessions will take place on the Main Casino Gaming Floor on Monday, August 4 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, August 5 from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.”

With 83 race victories, Yarborough has the fifth-best total of all time. He is the only driver to win three consecutive NASCAR Winston Cup championships. Yarborough won the Daytona 500 four times (1968, 1977, 1983, 1984). His hometown is Sardis, SC.

Baker, a native of Charlotte, NC, has competed in 698 races since 1959. His average speed of 177.602 in his 1980 Daytona 500 victory is still the race record. Baker was inducted into the International Motorsports Association Hall of Fame in 1997.

Gant, who lives in Taylorsville, NC, has 18 victories and 17 poles in his career that includes nearly 500 races. He was the runner-up in the 1984 series championship standings, and won four consecutive races in September 1991 (Darlington, Richmond, Dover and Martinsville) en route to a career-best fourth-place finish in series standings.

Irvan, of Salinas, CA, won the 1991 Daytona 500. He was the pole sitter in consecutive years (1997 and 1998) for the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He followed the late Davey Allison as driver of the popular No. 28 Texaco/Havoline Ford.

Tickets to the Oneida Bingo & Casino 300 will be available starting July 1 at any Express Convenience Store or Ticket Star Outlet, or by calling Game Day Sports Marketing toll-free at 877-902-1177. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 on race day and may be purchased at the gate.
