Big Week Ahead For IRA Outlaws
The O'Reilly Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints have a one of their biggest
weeks of the year ahead of them. Several IRA teams will stop by The Raceway @
Powercom Park this Wednesday night June 14th to compete in a non-points roll
with the World of Outlaws. Then on Friday & Saturday June 16th and 17th
IRA headlines the sprint car portion of the annual Masters at the Cedar Lake
Speedway. IRA shares the spotlight with the Lucas Oil (NARA) & WDRL
Late Models. This same combination ran to rave reviews in its' inaugural trial
last year. Both the sprints and late models compete in full shows both nights,
and this combination has quickly become a dirt track fan favorite.
IRA point leader and recent Powercom IRA winner Mike Reinke, May IRA Powercom
winner Todd Hepfner, and defending 2-time IRA Champion Scotty Neitzel all
indicated they will be at Powercom Park Wednesday night to compete with the
WoO.
IRA goes into Cedar Lake without having a repeat winner yet this year. Though
early in the season, the top 7 in IRA points run under a blanket. Neitzel's
strong Masters weekend last year which included taking home the $3000 finale
on Saturday helped pave the way to his second consecutive series
championship.
