IRA To Kick Off 2006 Season

Beaver Dam, WI  -  The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints roll into 2006 action this coming Saturday, April 22nd. The Rick Schmidt Memorial at the Dodge Co. Fairgrounds Speedway will once again open the IRA campaign. The fast half-mile has been the home of many an outstanding IRA show, and this year's should be no exception.

Several top series contenders tested at the Dodge Co. facility this past Saturday at near lap record speeds with 2-time and defending IRA Champion Scotty Neitzel, Mike Reinke, Steve Meyer, IRA Rookie of the Year candidate Tommy Sexton, and Scott Biertzer all looking extremely fast.

Three IRA events were contested at Dodge Co. in 2005 with Scott Young, Neitzel, and Todd Hepfner all visiting lane. All three are expected to compete this Saturday.

Please note that there is a earlier than normal start time slated for this race, as pit gates open at 2pm, with the drivers meeting be scheduled for 4pm, with engine warm-ups and hot laps set for 4:30 pm, followed by IRA qualifying, and then the much anticipated first green flag of the season to wave at 6pm. A field of over thirty cars is expected.
