Litton And Swedberg Both Win With Last Lap Passes

Clintonville,WI,8/30/06--Eighty-six competitors were on hand for the final night of racing for the 2006 season at the GSR Kartway.  Brayden Litton, Cole Daebler, Josh Kernosky, Brandon Grendzinski, Joe Reuter, Brandon Long, and Brett Swedberg all ended their year on a high note by picking up feature wins.

The kiddie kart feature was the first feature race on the night, and it proved to be a real barn burner.  Brayden Litton led lap one of the race before he was passed by Braden Muench on lap two.  On the final lap Litton pulled even with Muench.  The two young racers crossed the line side by side.  After some deliberation by track officials, the win was awarded to Litton by the slightest of margins.  Muench and Litton each won a heat race.

Brock Saunders led the first two laps of the box stock feature before Cole Daebler took over the top spot.  Daebler went on to lead the rest of the race to pick up the win in impressive fashion.  Tristin Peebles took second in the race, Tyler Olson finished third.  The heat races were won by Daebler, Saunders, Olson, and Hunter Parsons.

"Fast Eddie" Ryan Hinner started on the pole of the stock lite feature and looked to be the man to beat.  Hinner led up until the white flag lap.  Then on the final lap Brett Swedberg got underneath Hinner and wrestled the lead away.  Swedberg held off Hinner the rest of the way and got the win.  Hinner had to settle for second.  Hinner, Joe Reuter, Kyle Lentz, and Kirk Quaintance each picked up a heat race win.

In the controlled stock feature, Josh Kernosky led the entire race to pick up the win.  Brandon Reichenberger finished in second.  Tiffany Volkman finished a strong third.  Kernosky, Reichenberger, Volkman, and Nick Moeller won the heat races.  After a scary roll over on the front stretch, Tommy Johnson was transported to New London Medical Center for observation.

Brandon Grendzinski led for the duration of the junior flathead feature race.  Tyler Majeski followed Grandzinski across the line to finish second.  Grendzinski swept the nights action by also winnning both of his heat races.  Parker May picked up a pair of heat wins as well.

The stock heavy feature was led by pole sitter Andrew Hock for the first eleven laps.  On lap twelve Joe Reuter made the winning move.  Reuter picked up the win.  Hock came home second.  Hock and Reuter also won the heat races.

On lap four of the pro junior animal feature Brandon Long took the lead from Alex Stumpf.  Long led the rest of the way to get the win and sweep the division after already winning two heat races.  Stumpf finished in second and also won a pair of heats.  Cheyenne Cameron also won two heat races for herself.

Brett Swedberg led the entire pro animal feature to pick up his second win of the night.  Tyler Laughlin finished second in his pro animal debut.  Swedberg and Nathan Horsens won the heat races.
