Cameron Picks Up First Win Of The Year; Swedberg Wins Two At GSR

Clintonville,WI,6/28/06--Cheyenne Cameron raced her way to her first win of
the season at the GSR Kartway. Other winners among the seventy five
racers on hand were Brayden Litton, Tyler Majeski, Brett Swedberg, Brandon
Reichenberger, Alex Stumpf, Andrew Hock, and Steve Arndt.
In kiddie kart action Brayden Litton returned to victory lane and claimed his
sixth feature win on the season. Litton had to hold off a hard charging
Kaila Zahn to get the win. Litton also picked up the heat race win.
Tyler Majeski started on the outside of the front row in the box stock feature
and had the lead by the end of the first lap. Majeski led the entire
race to pick up his second feature win of the season. Hunter Parsons
finished in the second spot, Casey Sommers was third, and Carter Kauth took
fourth. Majeski and Kauth won the heat races.
Brett Swedberg led every lap of the stock lite feature and also picked up a
heat race win to sweep the class. Eighth place starter Kyle Lentz raced
his way into the second spot. Kirk Quaintance also picked up a heat race
win.
Pole sitter, Nick Moeller grabbed the early lead in the controlled stock
class. He lead until lap four when Chris VanSwol claimed the top
spot. VanSwol, Moeller, Josh Kernosky, and Brandon Reichengerger
continued to race in one tight group. On lap fifteen Kernosky took a
turn in the lead. With two laps to go Reichenberger got to the inside of
Kernosky to grab the lead. Reichenberger led the rest of the race to get
feature win number eight for the year. Kernosky did finish second; while
Josh Klafka took third. Moeller won the heat race.
Alex Stumpf swept the action in the junior flathead class. He won the
heat race and led every lap of the feature race. Parker May finished
second in the feature race.
In the stock heavy division, heat race winner, Andrew Hock took the lead on
the opening lap and looked as though he would cruise to victory. Then on
lap fifteen Justin Heiting caught Hock and passed him for the lead.
Heiting led the rest of the race to pick up the win. Hock had to settle
for second.
In the pro junior animal class Cheyenne Cameron swept the division's races and
picked up her first feature win on the season at the track. Cameron was
followed across the line by Jesse Colwell and Alex Hock.
Brett Swedberg also had a sweep in the animal pro division, winning both the
heat and feature. Aaron Milavitz finished second in the
race. Nathan Horsens was third.
In the lawnmower feature Steve Arndt bested a strong field of seven
competitors. Arndt led the entire race on his way to victory.
Sixth place starter Ty Rindt finished second. Arndt also won the heat
race.
Racing continues on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer at the GSR
Kartway. Racing starts at seven.
