Sommers, Moeller, Yarie And Jackson Get First Wins Of The Year
By Scott Owen

Clintonville,WI,5/24 - Seventy four racers were on hand to do battle at the GSR Kartway.  Mother nature did her best to put a stop to the racing by bringing a brief rain shower after the first session of heat races.  Track workers didn't give up on the track though, and were able to work the track surface back into racing form.  Casey Sommers, Nick Moeller, Marcus Yarie, and Darren Jackson picked up their first feature wins of the young season.  While Brayden Litton, Brett Swedberg, and Jake Boldig were repeat winners.

Brayden Litton continued his dominance in the kiddie kart class by sweeping the heat and feature races.  Litton is still undefeated on the season.  Braden Muench finished second in the feature race.

In the box stock class Casey Sommers started in the third spot but had the lead by the end of the opening lap.  Sommers would lead the rest of the race for his first feature win of the year.  Tyler Olson raced his way into second, while Hunter Parsons took third.  Carter Kauth and Mike Moeller won the heat races.

"The Missile" Aaron Milavitz led the opening lap of the stock lite feature before handing the lead over to Brett Swedberg.  Swedberg held off Kirk Quaintance to pick up the win.  Quaintance was second in the race.  Ryan Hinner crossed the line in third.  Milavitz and Joe Reuter won the heat races.

Brandon Reichenberger grabbed the lead at the start of the controlled stock feature.  On lap two Nick Moeller made the pass to take over the top spot.  Moeller would not be denied in his quest for the win.  Reichenberger had to settle for second in the race.  Chris VanSwol finished in third.  Reichenberger won the heat race.

The junior flathead feature was led for the first four laps by Parker May.  On lap five Jake Boldig took over the lead.  Boldig led the rest of the way for his second consecutive feature win at the track.  Tanner Wunderlich finished second in the race, one spot better than Randall Wilhorn.  Boldig also won the heat race.

The stock heavy feature proved to be an ultra competitive race between Andrew Hock, Justin Heiting, and Marcus Yarie.  Hock took the lead at the start of the race.  He was trailed closely by Heiting and Yarie.  On lap eight Heiting got to the inside of Hock in turn one.  The two karters made contact and slid up the track.  This opened the door for Yarie, who grabbed the lead.  Yarie led the rest of the race to get the win.  Heiting finished second, while Hock had to settle for third.  Justin Flaig picked up the heat race win.

Ten year old Darren Jackson led every lap of the pro junior animal feature race to pick up the win.  Alex Hock finished in second, Jesse Colwell finished third.  Colwell and Hock brought home the heat race wins.

Brett Swedberg dominated the pro animal class to gain the victory.  Swedberg lapped all the way up to the fourth place finisher.  Nathan Horsens finished in the runner up spot.  Aaron Milavitz finished third.  Swedberg also won the heat race.
