Klafka And Jackson Get First Wins Of The Year

Clintonville,WI,8/24--Brett Swedberg nearly made history at the GSR Kartway on Wednesday night.  He won six feature races and two feature events.  He also finished second in another feature.  Talon Laabs and Aaron Milavitz also swept their divisions.  Parker May, Josh Klafka, Darren Jackson, Dakota Quaintance, Kyle Lentz, and Steve Arndt also picked up feature wins.

Talon Laabs was the dominant kart in the kiddie kart class.  He won both of his heats and the feature.  Tom Spierowski made a lap ten pass to grab second in the race.  Skyler Woods finished in third.

Devon Church started on the pole of the box stock feature and led for the first four laps of the race.  At that point Parker May made the pass for the lead and led the rest of the way.  Church held on to finish a strong second.  Church, Hunter Parsons, Randall Wilhorn, and Casey steiger won the evenings heat races.

Josh Klafka led the entire controlled stock feature to pick up his first feature win at the track.  Chris Van Swol pressured Klafka but was not able to make a pass for the lead.  He had to settle for second.  Klafka, Van Swol, Angie Muenster, and Eric Klafka were the heat race winners.

Darren Jackson also picked up his first win of the year at the track. Jackson led the entire junior one feature and was unchallenged on the night.  Jesse Colwell came home in second.  Jackson and Alex Stumpf won the heats.

Brett Sedberg dominated the stock medium class winning both heat races and the feature in dominant style.  Joe Reuter finished a distant second in the feature.

The junior two feature race proved to be a battle between the brothers Quaintance.  Kirk Quaintance led the first five laps before giving way to younger brother Dakota.  Dakota led the rest of the way for the win. Kirk finished in second.  The heats were won by Kirk Quaintance and Cheyenne Cameron.

Aaron Milavitz showed the way all night in the junior animal class as he won both heat races and the feature.  Ben Stumpf crossed the line in second; Johnny Whitman took third.

Brett Swedberg continued his dominance in the stock heavy class.  He won both heat races and the feature in this class also.  Justin Flaig took the runner-up spot in the feature.

Swedberg attempted to continue his win streak in the WKA animal class, but Kyle Lentz would put an end that.  Swedberg led the first two laps of the feature before Lentz made the pass for the lead.  Lentz drove on to yet another win on the year.  Swedberg did finish in second and also won both of his heat races.  Brad Anthony and Tanner Bohlen also won heat races.

In lawnmower action Steve Arndt started outside the front row and used th highline to take the lead on lap one of the feature.  He held of the charges of heat race winner Shannon Peters to get the win.  Peters took second and also the point title.

Racing will continue next week wednesday at seven o'clock.  It will be the final race of the season for the GSR Kartway.
