May, Klafka And Swedberg Get Out The Brooms At GSR

Clintonville,WI,7/27--Parker May, Eric Klafka, and Brett Swedberg swept their
respective classes on Wednesday evening by winning both their heat races and
feature races. Talon Laabs, Jesse Colwell, Kirk Quaintance, Johnny
Whitman, Kyle Lentz, and Steve Arndt also picked up feature wins.
The kiddie kart feature was first up on the night. Talon Laabs started
on the pole position and led every lap to return to victory lane after a two
week dry spell. Tom Spierowski finished a close second. Spierowski and
Laabs also were the heat race winners.
Parker May dominated the box stock class by winning both of his heat races and
also leading every lap of the feature race. Mike Moeller, Casey Sommers,
and Nic Page ran the entire race nose to tail to finish second through
fourth. Sommers and Moeller won the other two heat events.
Eric Klafka also dominated the controlled stock class by winning both of his
heat races and leading every lap of the feature. Ryan Hinner finished in
second. Chris VanSwol took third. Jordan Reinke and Brandon
Reichenberger also won heat races.
Alex Stumpf took the lead on lap one of the junior one feature but he would be
passed by Jesse Colwell on lap four. Colwell never looked back to get
his second win a row. Stumpf held on for second in front of Reagan
May. Colwell and Stumpf were the heat race winners.
The domination continued for Brett Swedberg in the stock medium class. He also
won both heat races and the feature. Chad Selk took the second
spot. Joe Reuter took third, and Marcus Yarie finished in fourth after a
scary rollover in his heat race.
Kirk Quaintance returned to victory lane in the junior two class by leading
every lap of the feature race. Quaintance also won a heat race as did
Cheyenne Cameron, Josh Long, and Alex Hock.
Johnny Whitman was the winner of the junior animal feature in front of Aaron
Milavitz, Justin Kraeger, and Ben Stumpf. Whitman and Stumpf won the
heat races.
Brett Swedberg proved unbeatable in the stock heavy class as well. He
won both of his heat races and led the entire feature event to pick up yet
another win. Justin Flaig closed in on Swedberg as the race wore on to
finish a close second.
Kyle Lentz returned to his old form in the WKA animal feature as he was
unchallenged on his way to the win. Blair Laughlin took second in the
race. Lentz and Justin Anthony were the heat race winners.
In lawnmower action Shannon Peters has been the man to beat this season but
his night was done on the first lap of the feature. Steve Arndt picked
up the lead and held on for his first win.
Action will resume next Wednesday night with a Wisconsin Dirt Championship
Series qualifying race on tap. Racing starts at seven o'clock.
