Colwell, Reuter and Bohlen Victorious At GSR

Clintonville,WI,7/20--The GSR Kartway played host to eighty five racers on Wednesday evening.  Jesse Colwell, Joe Reuter, and Tanner Bohlen picked up impressive feature wins.  Skyler Woods and Eric Klafka won their features for the second week in a row.  While Parker May, Matthew Kretschmann, Aaron Milavitz, Brett Swedberg, and Shannon Peters also picked up feature victories.

Skyler Woods dominated the kiddie kart feature for the entire length of the race.  Tom Spierowski Jr. finished a strong second.  Cole Kuske finished in the third spot.  Spierowski and Woods won the heat races.

In box stock action Parker May started on the pole and never looked back to pick up the win.  May was followed closely by Mike Moeller, but Moeller was never able to attempt a pass for the lead.  Hunter Parsons started in the seventh spot and was able to work his way through traffic to finish in third.  Dustin Volkmann, Tristan Peebles, May, and Moeller won the heat races.  Casey Steiger won the consolation race.

Eric Klafka also was dominant in the controlled stock class.  He led every lap of the feature and also won both of his heat races.  Jordan Reinke moved up from the fifth starting spot to finish in second. Brandon Reichenberger and Chantel Wunderlich also won heat races.

Jesse Colwell raced to his first win this season in the junior one feature.  Colwell held off the charges of Alex Stumpf.  Stumpf finished in the second spot but was disqualified after the race.  Darren Jackson and Parker May traded the third spot between themselves many times during the race.  Jackson eventually prevailed in that battle.  Stumpf and Colwell won the heat races.

The stock medium feature got off to a wild start.  Front row starters Marcus Yarie and Brett Swedberg were both called with two cautions early on in the race sending them to the pits.  Once things got rolling Joe Reuter pulled away from the field to pick up the win.  Andrew Theis finished second in front of Ryan Rosenow.  Swedberg and Yarie were the heat race winners.

Josh Long took the lead on lap one of the junior two feature.  Cheyenne Cameron took the lead away from Long on lap three.  Cameron would hold the top spot until lap six when Matt Kretschmann made the pass for the lead.  Kretschmann would on to the lead for the duration of the race to bring home the win.  Alex Hock finished second, Brandon Long third.  Cameron and Josh Long won the heat races.

Ben Stumpf led the entire junior animal feature, but was disqualified after the event.  This gave the win to Aaron Milavitz.  Milavitz won both heat races.

In the stock heavy feature Brett Swedberg took the lead at the start.  Justin Flaig had caught Swedberg and Made a pass for the lead on lap nine.  Unfortunately for Flaig his chain broke just after he took over the lead.  This gave the lead back to Swedberg who led the rest of the way.  Justin Heiting finished in second just in front of Mike Lambrecht.  Swedberg also won both heat races.

Justin Anthony used his pole starting position to grab lead at the start of the WKA animal feature.  Tanner Bohlen moved into second and set his sights on Anthony.  On lap ten Bohlen made the pass for the lead and held on for the rest of the race to pick up his first WKA animal feature win of the year.  Blaire Laughlin made last lap pass to take second away from Anthony who finished third.  Brad Anthony and Bohlen won the heat races.

Shannon Peters led the lawnmower feature from start to finish to pick up another win on the year.  Steve Arndt crossed the line in second.  Peters also won the heat race.
